First Class Yachts

Letty Galapagos Yacht

The Letty Galapagos Yacht was custom-designed for cruising the Galapagos Islands. Built in 1991, and refurbished annually, this first-class yacht accommodates no more than 20 guests and features three decks with spacious staterooms boasting polished teak interiors trimmed with shiny brass fittings.   Both motor yachts have 10 double outside-facing cabins, all with a window or porthole, and guest quarters each furnished with two twin beds or one double bed. In these two ships, you will also find roomy closets, drawers, overhead storage plus climate controls, an intercom system, and private baths in all cabins.   The two boats also feature spacious common areas such as a sundeck, a dining room, a well-stocked bar, a conference area with a flat-screen TV and a VCR, stereo cassette/CD equipment, and a book- and video-library for escaping the midday heat.   In addition, for those who worship the equatorial sun, twinkling stars and cool ocean breezes, you’re welcome to relax and kick back on the sundeck. However, if you prefer to stay out of the sun, you can enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the island landscapes and sea through the picture windows that surround the two upper decks.   Low guide-to-passenger ratios on board the Letty ensure highly personalized service and intimate experiences during your on-shore excursions, snorkeling tours or panga-boat trips. The yacht’s two experienced English-speaking naturalist guides will attend to you during your entire Galapagos cruise. Every day, each of these guides takes a group of no more than 10 passengers on shore excursions and shares their extensive knowledge about the island’s diverse wildlife. These excursions include hikes where you will encounter prehistoric reptiles such as the iconic giant Galapagos tortoises, as well as endemic land and marine iguanas. Witness the courtship dance of Blue-footed boobies, and observe tiny Galapagos penguins, Flightless cormorants and sprawling Waved albatrosses – just to name a few of the Galapagos’ amazing seabird species.   All of this and more can be experienced on a cruise on board Letty. Just call or drop Surtrek a line and we will begin designing your customized Galapagos journey on board either of these first-class yachts.
